BDI DataLynk Announces Major OM-3, 50 Micron LOF, 10 Gigabit FTTD Project in Texas

May 2, 2007, Austin, Texas – It was announced today that the first stage of one of the largest 10 Gigabit Fiber To The
Desk projects in the United States is nearing completion.  The 12-story Federal Courthouse in Houston, Texas with over
950 users, will be the first in a series of 9 Federal Courthouse buildings in 7 Texas cities to enjoy the benefits of Fiber to
the Desk.  While providing virtually unlimited bandwidth, higher security, higher reliability, uninterrupted VoiP, future
upgrade options, and NO maladies commonly associated with 10 Gigabit UTP copper installations, this FTTD project
may prove to be the catalyst that drives the demand for FTTD networking solutions in the US and around the world. In
addition to the Houston Courthouse, the 10-Gigabit LOF will be installed at the Federal Courthouses in Laredo, McAllen,
Corpus Christi, Galveston, Brownsville, and Victoria.  Bob Ballard and Rob Stanton, both RCDD’s with significant fiber
and copper networking experience, designed this high-performance, 10-Gigabit FTTD project in late 2005.  Bob Ballard,
owner of BDI DataLynk, is overseeing the installation and certifying installation and testing procedures at all locations.
Day-to-day work is being managed by US Courts employee, Darren Berglan, Senior Network Specialist.  With the
exception of a local GSA contractor installing the horizontal distribution segments, all riser cable installation, all splicing,
all terminations, and all testing is being accomplished by US Courts personnel trained by BDI DataLynk.  Upon
completion the total number of users in all 7 cities will be in excess of 2,000, and there is the possibility of more being
added as the project progresses.

The use of FTTD in lieu of UTP copper provides an unprecedented ability to offer not only virtually unlimited bandwidth
to each and every user on the network, but it also offers a substantial savings for current and future upgrades and
applications.  Upgrading this high-performance network in the future is now just a matter of changing electronics - saving
the cost of installing new cabling.  FTTD is as easy as 1 – 2 – 3: Install it, Test it, and Forget it.

BDI DataLynk is an Austin based company providing standards based fiber optics network infrastructure training
programs and fiber optics networking solutions to a bandwidth-hungry marketplace.  All training programs are accredited
