About Lee College

Lee College is a comprehensive community college in Baytown, Texas, about 30 miles east of Houston near the confluence of the Houston Ship Channel and Galveston Bay. Founded in 1934 and accredited by SACSCOC, the college serves around 8,800 students across more than 100 programs, with a strong focus on the process technology, energy, and skilled-trades workforce that drives the Gulf Coast industrial corridor.

Lee College is BDI DataLynk’s most established Texas partner. BDI delivers FOA fiber optic certification classes here through the college’s Center for Workforce and Community Development, including the FiberOptiX Bootcamp, which earns the CFOT, CFOS/T, and CFOS/S certifications in one week. BDI provides the instructor, curriculum, and all training equipment, while the college handles enrollment and facilities.

Getting Here

The main campus sits in Baytown, east of Houston, with easy access from Interstate 10 and State Highway 146. The area’s hotels are concentrated along Garth Road and near Baytown Town Square, a short drive from campus, which makes the location workable for students traveling in from across the Houston metro and the wider Gulf Coast region.
