About Chattahoochee Technical College
Chattahoochee Technical College is the largest technical college in Georgia, serving over 11,000 students across nine campuses in the northwest Atlanta metro area. Founded in 1961 and part of the Technical College System of Georgia, Chattahoochee Tech is accredited by SACSCOC and offers more than 100 programs in technical, healthcare, and workforce fields.
BDI DataLynk delivers FOA fiber optic certification courses at Chattahoochee Tech’s North Metro Campus in Acworth through the college’s Continuing Education and Workforce Development division. This campus, originally North Metro Technical College before the 2009 consolidation, is a full-service facility with student services, a renovated library, and multiple training buildings.
How Registration Works
Fiber optic certification courses at Chattahoochee Tech are registered through the college’s continuing education program. When you register, you are enrolling as a non-credit student at Chattahoochee Tech. BDI provides the instructor, curriculum, and all training equipment. The college handles enrollment, facilities, and may offer workforce development funding or WIOA assistance for eligible students.

Getting Here
The North Metro Campus is at 5198 Ross Road in Acworth, about 30 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta. The campus is easily accessible by car but limited transit options are available (CobbLinc bus routes 480 and 102 stop about a mile away). Nearby hotels include the Hampton Inn Acworth, Holiday Inn Express Acworth, and Quality Inn on Cowan Road. Lake Allatoona, one of the most visited Corps of Engineers lakes in the country, is just minutes away.
