About BDI DataLynk El Paso
El Paso sits at the far western tip of Texas, where the state meets New Mexico and Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. Together these cities form one of the largest binational metro areas on the U.S.-Mexico border, and the region’s broadband network is expanding fast. El Paso County and AT&T have launched a $6.6 million public-private fiber project, combining $3.9 million in county ARPA funding with $2.7 million from AT&T, to bring AT&T Fiber to over 1,000 residential locations including 57 colonias, breaking ground in November 2025. That kind of buildout needs trained fiber technicians, and BDI DataLynk brings its certification training directly to the El Paso metro.
BDI delivers classes at professional training facilities across the country. For El Paso, that means BDI brings the instructor, the curriculum, and all the training equipment to a training facility in the metro area. As an FOA-Approved School founded in 1999, BDI runs hands-on training that earns recognized FOA certifications, including the FiberOptiX Bootcamp that covers CFOT, CFOS/T, and CFOS/S in a single week.
How Registration Works
Register directly through BDI DataLynk. BDI brings the FiberOptiX Bootcamp to the El Paso area, so check the BDI schedule for upcoming El Paso area dates or ask about onsite training for your crew. BDI provides the instructor, curriculum, and all training equipment, so you arrive ready to work hands-on from day one.
Getting Here
Interstate 10 is the primary east-west route through El Paso, and its interchange with US-54 and I-110 just north of downtown is known locally as the Spaghetti Bowl. US-54, the Patriot Freeway, carries north-south traffic and ties into I-10 at that interchange, while Loop 375 partially encircles the city by way of the Border West Expressway and Cesar Chavez Border Highway. El Paso International Airport sits northeast of downtown and connects straight to I-10 at the Airway Boulevard exit, a short drive from the terminal, which makes the area easy to reach for crews and out-of-town students flying in.
