About Hampton Inn & Suites Colleyville DFW West
College Station anchors the Bryan-College Station metro in the Brazos Valley of central Texas, a three-county region of roughly 268,000 to 287,000 residents built around Texas A&M University, the metro’s largest employer with about 21,000 main-campus staff. The area is a growing fiber market: Frontier builds symmetrical fiber across the city with plans reaching up to 5 to 7 Gbps, and Optimum serves homes, businesses, and the university itself. That buildout, paired with a national shortage of trained fiber technicians, is why BDI brings hands-on certification training to College Station.
BDI DataLynk delivers classes at professional training facilities across the country. For the College Station metro, BDI provides the instructor, the FOA-aligned curriculum, and all of the splicing and testing equipment, so students get the same hands-on training here that they would at any BDI location. There is no permanent campus to enroll through. BDI sets up locally and runs the class.
How Registration Works
Register directly through BDI DataLynk. Ask about upcoming College Station-area dates and reserve your seat online. BDI provides the instructor, curriculum, and all training equipment, so all you need to bring is yourself.
Getting Here
College Station sits along State Highway 6, the Earl Rudder Freeway, with State Highway 40, State Highway 30, and FM 60 connecting the rest of the metro. Easterwood Airport, about three miles southwest of the city next to the Texas A&M campus, offers daily American Airlines nonstops to Dallas-Fort Worth. For students driving in, the city is roughly 83 miles northwest of Houston and about 87 miles east-northeast of Austin, both an easy run up State Highway 6.
