About St. Petersburg College

St. Petersburg College is one of 28 state colleges in the Florida College System, serving more than 34,000 students annually across 10 locations throughout Pinellas County. Founded in 1927 as Florida’s first two-year college and accredited by SACSCOC, SPC was also the first state college in Florida to offer bachelor’s degrees.

BDI DataLynk brings FOA fiber optic certification classes to the Tampa Bay area, working with campus partners like St. Petersburg College and its Workforce, Community and Corporate Partnerships division, which offers industry certifications and exam-prep instruction taught by industry experts.

Getting Here

When classes run at SPC’s Allstate Center in south St. Petersburg, the campus sits on 34th Street S (U.S. Highway 19), which runs parallel to I-275 for easy Tampa Bay regional access. St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE) is roughly 10 miles away and Tampa International (TPA) is about 15 to 18 miles away. Out-of-town students will find lodging along the 34th Street N corridor near the I-275 exits, including the Holiday Inn St. Petersburg West and Fairfield Inn and Suites.
