About BDI San Francisco

San Francisco anchors one of the most fiber-dense metros in the country. Across the Bay Area, AT&T Fiber runs the largest fiber footprint in the city and continues to expand it, the independent California ISP Sonic operates its own gigabit fiber network serving San Francisco, and Comcast Xfinity and Astound Broadband round out the market. That density keeps demand steady for technicians who can terminate, splice, and certify fiber, and telecom line installer and repairer work pays a national mean near 33 dollars an hour, with California consistently among the higher-paying, higher-cost states for the trade.

BDI DataLynk brings the training to the Bay Area. As an FOA-Approved School founded in 1999, BDI delivers classes at professional training facilities and supplies the instructor, the curriculum, and all the training equipment. The flagship offering here is the FiberOptiX Bootcamp, which bundles CFOT, CFOS/T, and CFOS/S into three FOA certifications earned in one week of hands-on training.

How Registration Works

BDI brings the FiberOptiX Bootcamp to the San Francisco Bay Area. Register directly through BDI DataLynk and ask about upcoming Bay Area dates or onsite training. BDI provides the instructor, curriculum, and all training equipment, so you arrive ready to work at the bench from day one.

Getting Here

The Bay Area is easy to reach from anywhere. Three major airports serve the region: San Francisco International (SFO), Oakland (OAK), and San Jose (SJC). BART links SFO and Oakland to downtown San Francisco and the East Bay, and Caltrain connects the city to the Peninsula and San Jose, with a BART and Caltrain transfer at Millbrae. By car, the freeway spine runs along I-80, US-101, I-880, and I-280, putting most of the metro within a short drive of the training facility.
