About BDI San Jose

San Jose anchors Silicon Valley at the south end of the Bay Area, one of the most active fiber markets in the country. AT&T Fiber already serves the city, and in May 2026 AT&T committed $19 billion to expand its fiber and wireless networks across California through 2030, reaching more than four million additional households and businesses and creating work for hundreds of technicians. The City of Santa Clara runs its own municipal fiber utility through Silicon Valley Power, and San Jose and Santa Clara County continue to pursue public-private broadband partnerships. That mix of carrier buildout, municipal fiber, and digital-equity investment keeps demand strong for technicians who hold recognized FOA certifications.

BDI DataLynk brings fiber optic certification training to San Jose so technicians in the metro can certify close to home. BDI delivers classes at professional training facilities across the country, bringing the instructor, the curriculum, and all the training equipment to a venue in the area. The schedule centers on the FiberOptiX Bootcamp, which combines CFOT, CFOS/T, and CFOS/S into a single week of training.
