About Los Angeles Trade-Technical College
Los Angeles Trade-Technical College is the oldest college in the Los Angeles Community College District, founded in 1925 and serving roughly 17,000 students a year from a 25-acre campus in downtown Los Angeles. Accredited by the ACCJC, LATTC is built around career and technical education, with more than 80 programs that move students into skilled trades and workforce careers.
BDI DataLynk delivers its FiberOptiX Bootcamp at LATTC through the college’s Transportation Workforce Institute, a workforce-training division that prepares technicians for the trades that keep the region moving. The bootcamp earns three FOA certifications in one week, CFOT, CFOS/T, and CFOS/S, giving Los Angeles technicians a fast, hands-on path into fiber optic work.
How Registration Works
Registration for the FiberOptiX Bootcamp at LATTC is handled directly through BDI DataLynk. BDI provides the instructor, curriculum, and all training equipment, while the Transportation Workforce Institute hosts the class on campus. Seats are limited, so registering early is recommended.

The campus sits on the southern edge of downtown Los Angeles, just off the 110 and 10 freeways and close to the South Park district. Metro rail access is excellent, with the LATTC/Ortho Institute and Grand stations on the Metro E Line a short walk away. On-campus parking is available for students who drive in, and the central location puts downtown hotels and the wider LA metro within easy reach for out-of-town attendees.
