About Orange County Community College
SUNY Orange (Orange County Community College) is a public community college in New York’s Hudson Valley, with campuses in Middletown and Newburgh. Founded in 1950 as the first county-sponsored community college in the State University of New York system, it serves several thousand students a year and is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
BDI DataLynk delivers FOA fiber optic certification classes at SUNY Orange through the college’s Continuing and Professional Education (CAPE) program, the same division that runs workforce training in fields like CDL, networking, and healthcare certifications. As an approved training provider under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), SUNY Orange can offer eligible students access to training vouchers that may cover program costs.
How Registration Works
When classes are scheduled here, you register through SUNY Orange’s Continuing and Professional Education program rather than with BDI directly. You enroll as a non-credit continuing education student, and the college handles enrollment, facilities, and any workforce development or WIOA funding for those who qualify. BDI provides the instructor, curriculum, and all training equipment.
