Georgia received $1.3 billion in federal BEAD funding to connect 119,500 unserved locations across the state. Five major providers are building right now. Kinetic is laying 20,000+ new fiber lines across 120 communities. Brightspeed is mid-build with 31,000 planned locations on the coast. Wire 3 is investing $37 million in Albany. Comcast just completed a $7 million fiber network in Kingsland. Google Fiber continues expanding across metro Atlanta.

All of this infrastructure needs people to install, test, splice, and maintain it. AT&T, Google Fiber, MasTec, Dycom, Quanta Services, and Comcast are actively hiring in Georgia. Nationally, the Fiber Broadband Association estimates 180,000 new workers are needed over the next decade to support broadband expansion.
